ok so here's the story...

i ordered my pb again on saturday over the phone.(minimise any cockups with the order) so i was told that it's faster if i get the standard package, so i did. ETD by monday. payments? since using the card just shows how inefficient they are, i decided to pay by cash. even cheque might cause them some problem processing it. the easier it is for them to process, the better it is for me.. even if i hafta go thru some inconvinience prior to getting the book. i mean.. i hafta come down all the way to amk to pay. and before that i gotta queue in the bank just to draw that much money. but to be told that i can bring home my pb after payment is just worth all the inconvenience la... little margin for errors on apple's side ay.

cabbied down to amk with fairus and chris after class.(i finish at 4 and they close at 5) and......... they said there's no such thing as cash and carry. how great. imagine how i felt? its crestfallen/angry/sad/disappointed/fuming mad/everything else till i feel like bursting. but had to keep'em under control. ahh yes.. surprisingly these days i can control my temper better. yess i'm growing up. hehe anyways...

they did nothing much but reassure me that there's no such thing as cash and carry as they're not a retail store. it takes them about 2hrs to process the payment before they can deliver the pb to me. n since its already 4+, they'll deliver it to me the next morning. and she still dunno who that 'cartoon' is (according to her) who said i can take it home with me there and then.

*takes a deeeeep breath and pays them and walks away*
THAT much poorer and still no pb to keep me happy. *shakes head*

next morning (today la) went to class. it ended at bout 12 and i called daddy, only to be assured that it has not been sent. also there wasnt any calls to inform me of the delivery. i did receive 2 misscalls from an aussie number. apple aussie? i mean the cust service is located in aussie.

so after class, i called apple cust serv to check the status of my order.. to my @#$^%$%&#$%&$%^&*$%^# the person said that my powerbook is in aussie and have yet to be shipped to singapore. i will probably be getting it tmr or the day after? pretty much lost it a little and !@#$%$&^%@#$%#$^#$%&%^* and sarcastically asked if i was gonna be getting it next yr instead. i mean.. from monday it was postponed to tuesday. and now on tuesday it could come wednesday or thursday.

just then... that aussie number called again. i ans.. it was apple aussie.. some bitch apologised to me about the cockup about the whole cash and carry shit. yada yada yada... think she was just calling for fuck's sake oni la.. din realy bother to hear to me also... just kept repeating about her trying to call me whole morning but unable to get thru.. like fuck do i give a fuck. anyways, she said that i will be getting the powerbook today itself only that she's not sure what time. and that she will check it for me and get back to me. i told her that i tried calling apple comp singapore n got no responds from their side. and she said she will check for me and get back to me in half hrs time.

half hour my ass la.. 3 hrs later.. still no news. fairus was nice to help me talk to the person. called apple singapore and they ruffly said that they dunno. then went on to say about apple aussie, apple singapore, different. again... i dun see a shit. apple is apple.. like pear is pear.. haha

then called apple cust serv which takes us directly to aussie. checked order status again.. and this time round i duno what exactly fairus and that guy talked about. it was blah blah blah blah blah...then he tried to explain their process of processing orders. which we need not know and i simply refuse to know. why should i anyway. fairus cut him off talking about his process and just asked if it was possible for the thing to be delivered to him by tonight itself. 9pm singapore time. and he said yes. and upon my promt, we added another condition... if it does not reach my place by 9 tonight, do me a favour of cancelling my order.

hahaha.. that was fun la.. to make me cancel my order again.. so we walked ard after that. jie wei so happy liaoz. got his iVideo... then we walked all the way to between-ps-and-orchard to get a haircut. it was then that i got a call from apple confirming my address and to say tat they'll be delivering it between 6 to 9 tonight. hmm.. by then... seriously, i cant be bothered liaoz. like if it comes.. it comes.. yaay (say it in the most monotonous tone ever) else... i'll demand for my money back, and head down to applecentre and buy it there instead. its like i wanna be excited that its supposedly coming tonight but from past experience.. never be too happy till its in my hands for sure..

then we walked back to apple centre coz fairus decided to buy his ipod mini video there instead of online. hahaha.. plus it takes about 3-5 working days before delivery. well at least she gave a more realistic ans(i think). and i bought a red powerbook bag. ya red coz its flashy (according to fairus and jiewei coz black is not apple-ish). and if it does not come tonight also.. i should seriously consider other brands.. fujitsu? toshiba?

cabbied home... and hey.. what do you know.. the door bell rang at 8... and it's my powerbook... yaay (say it with a little more enthusiasm but not too much. alot of it has been drained out)......

slowly unveiled the powerboook....... ahhh... new marriage.. blissssss
and relieved.. the saga is over.. i hope.
