The one about being a liverpudlian
Safiin will not take back his words..
first and foremost... my condolences goes to rafa, whose father sadly passed away while the reds were out in Japan.
anyways,
there was a time when i said that liverpool suck. i still love them to bits but at that moment they were sucking badly. i mean all the losing streaks... haiz..
yes they did well in last season's champion's league but the premiereship champaign suffered badly... (by the way... that istanbul match.. goodness gracious me... totally totally superb comeback. sadly i was watching it in an inn in sarawak where everyone else was sleeping. incl zal who was down there to acc me. so i cannot make any noise at all... believe me.. i felt like jumping and screaming sooo bad.)
then there was a break.. all the dust and glittered settled... before the start of the current premiership season.
and liverpool was waay behind.. in the middle of the table. the no-wins matches started. thats when they suck. but as the number of games they played increases... they slowly but surely gotten better
they're a team now. the flow's better.. and they gel up. they used to have a very formidable defense. (they're just one goal more than chelsea ay) but right now.. at the front of the pitch.. they're improving too. scoring more goals.. average of 2 goals per game, for the last 11 matches. winning matches and that 11-match clean sheet record.. damn!
they finished at the top of the table of group g, yes, ahead of chelsea. they've a great run on the premiership before they flew to japan.
japan.. haiz.. sure they came home without the trophy. so sao paolo won 1 nil. but it definitely did not reflect the true match. liverpool clearly dominated the 2nd half. 3 goals scored but not one was validified. it was also clear that florent's goal was onside. you can always see the replay. it is clear that there should have been a red card for that foul on stevie. they replayed a lot of instances on the screen but not the goal - why? everyone has seen they've scored three goals. but no point making noise about it now ay. nothing can be changed. but on thing's for sure, they showed everyone that they can compete with the best teams in the world, and I believe they can kick on from this now...
Liverpool are getting stronger and stronger. There is no way Liverpool will finish 37 points behind Chelsea this year. Even though I don't think they are ready to win the premiership title yet this season, the title is coming back to Anfield and maybe even sooner than you think.
so kudos to rafa... sorry i said you suck? hehehe
oh did i mention the rest of the liverpudlians? the fans are super awesome! the singing, the cheering.. definitely a hair-standing movement that moves you.. man.. how i wish i could be there to witness not only the match live.. but the thrill of being part of the kop.. man.. that'll be one helluva experience...
okok.. for you non liverpool fans n non believers...
pfft....who cares?
