The one about choices
Safiin is having a headache.
my headache's like BACK!
haiz...
anyways, finally met up with my project sup just now.
he obviously does not check his emails regularly.
oh well..
but he accepted my idea
n gave tips on how to make it more credible.
hmm.. lots of literature search to be done
and to try sell my idea to the org
that my proj is intended for.
he said if i can get the org to endorse my proj,
it'd make my proj very credible.
hopefully it'll go well.
went to town with beasty after the meeting
to collect my lappy.
wah its been sitting ard at ishop for weeks now.
lol.
been dreading going to collect it lar..
cause apparently they found no fault in it
and i'm supposed to pay $107 diagnostic fees.
fees apply even thou its still under warranty.
so.. the main prob is that
i'm unable to start the lappy
with no batt source attached to it,
even when its plugged.
The recep affirmed that thats a fault.
2 days later, someone called
saying that they found no probs with it.
imagine how pissed i was.
could be some conspiracy going on.
could be that there was ONE screw loose
and they fixed it and its all ok
and then say there's nothing wrong with it.
lol great imagination i know.
anyhoo, as advised by Dan,
i brought my adapter along
to stand my ground that it does not work.
the recep took out my lappy
and explained, well more like tell,
there's nothing wrong with my lappy.
so i asked about the above-mentioned fault
and he said the techs checked it
n its working ok.
so i asked him to test it out for me.
THANKFULLY i brought my adapter along.
cause as he was looking for an adapter to test it,
i took out mine to let him use.
he took out the batt, plugged in my lappy
and VOILA!! it won boot up.
lol.
he looked stunned awhile..
then stared at my adapter
and pointed out that its the wrong adapter
and that its for the macbook.
its 45W only whilst for macbook pros..
it should be icantrememberwatbutitsalothigher Watts.
then he took out the actual adapter
and amazingly the lappy switched on.
i told him that the adapter i brought
its the one thats in the box
and that i ordered it tru APPLE's online store.
his reply, "oh then you gotta check with them"
me: and i cant do that here?
recep: nope. you have to call them yourself.
weird service right?
you can send your lappy to them for servicing.
but anything to do with software,
they don do.
anything wrong with orders,
they won do it too.
so much for being one of APPLE's agent.
wah.. seriously, APPLE's service SUCK BIG TIME LAR...
i won repeat it again
but try recall about all the trouble i went tru
to finally get my lappy.
and now this has to happen.
oh back to the story..
so i asked the recep..
now that the prob is actually with the adapter
and that its apple's fault for giving me the WRONG adapter
I still have to bear the diagnostic fee of ONE HUNDRED and SEVEN??
thankfully, he said..
we wont charge you the fees this time round..
~~~PHEW~~~
managed to bring a smile, albeit faint, to my face.
much much later when i finally got home..
i called 1800MYAPPLE to ask them about the adapter.
and.. someone picked up my call...
transfered me to the appropriate dept to handle my case...
was put on hold...
i waited... n waited..
so i put the phone on speaker mode
whilst i type this..
and till now... 50over mins later..
noone actually picked up the call!!
gave up.. ended the call..
n wat did i say about apple's customer service?
*rolls eyes*
customer service aside...
i cant help but still fall in love with their products.
just pray it does not die on you..
and GO BUY IT PERSONALLY FROM THEIR SALES AGENT,
ishop, applecentre etc
as opposed to their online shop.
at least there's a physical place you can go to if anythings wrong.
for now...
i cant wait to get me hands on the ipod classic.
yes the classic came up on top
pushing the touch aside.
reason being its value for money
and i can always wait for the next generation of touch
before i buy it. at least the system would be stable-er.
but one question remains...
and yes, i even managed to edit the above image
whilst waiting (im)patiently
for someone to actually pick my up call.
