The one about the yellow and red derby
Safiin is oh so happy. hahaha
so there i was settled down on the couch to watch the match, a merseyside derby.
the ref.. hmm well .. i dunno. gerrard was sent off after a second booking in matter of seconds! at the 18th minute, GERRARD was sent off!! not only do they not have gerrard on the pitch, but they're one player down!! but liverpool were well up against it and they responded in the only way you would expect and, driven on by the kop, they slowly began to gain a foothold into the game. somehow it din really look like they were 1 man down. after phil neville headed alonso's 45th minute corner into his own net.. i know there's a high chance we'd win. i mean... liverpool has one of the meanest defense in the english league.
after half time, everyone just went crazy when garcia brilliantly put the ball past the stupid keeper and into the posts. hahaha.. everyone erupted. then cahill scored. oh well. when van der meyde came in for kilbane, my uncle was saying that he sucks (ok not exact words) n true enough, 5 minutes later, he was sent off for dangerous play. yee haw~ 10 vs 10 now. so much for waiting for liverpool to feel tired to be one man down. to top it off, kewel coolly scored a goal.. final whistle, 3-1 liverpool. weeee~~~ oh did i said that there was 10 yellow cards flashed?!?! my my the ref blowed and flashed a lot. inconsistent. and where do you draw the line between offside and not offside? crouch was offside but it was hyypia who scored the goal. and its disallowed. n yet shearer was not in play , thus the goal stands, the other day even though he's offside.
anyways, i really think its a beyond-words experience to be part of the kop la. need to experience it!! i'm craving it. hahaha
we've only got ten men we've only got ten men we've only got ten men.. goes the kop. hilarious!!
if i ever get to do my 3rd year in london.......................................
anyways, today i witnessed something i've never noticed before. apart from rafa's appreciation of the fans, which he almost always mentions during postmatch interviews, this time, he actually went to the pitch to congratulate his players!! typically he'd head in! he must be really happy. but i like the modesty in that man !!
alonso did really really really really really well taking responsibility for the one-man-down situation!!!
sissoko, after a near-blinding incident, he is no longer blind in coming into challenges. haha..better distribution now too. kudos for his really good performance today tooo.
garcia, is a menace!! to the blues that is. haha. wee~~
carragher posed as a solid pillar. along with hyypia, finnan and riise..consistent!!
kewell scored that goal oh so calmly. haha.. niice. was senselessly booked though.
reina, believe he could have and should have saved that goal. but i like him nonetheless. nice to see him run allllll the way to the front to celebrate garcia's goal.
crouchy, i dunno.. mixed feelings here. i still find him clumsy although he did rather ok in this match. haha.
gerrard, so much for the 08 kit. mere 18minutes dude. kicking the ball away is unbecoming of a captain. that challenge i'm ok though. but i guess that 'woke' the rest of them up. changed the tempo and style, weirdly for the better. guess even when he's off the pitch, he can change the tempo. hahaha.. n its a good rest period for him la huh.
weee~~~~~
