For those who wanna watch the 08 Aug 11:59pm Fireworks by the Singapore Team, yet DO NOT want to squeeze with the Marina South crowd and still demands a VIP view and DO NOT want to spend a single cent, well, here is a secret location.

See the red star? It is the point closest to the place where they light the fireworks. There is a small carpark below Sheares Benjamin Bridge. There are also "illegal" parking spaces along Republic Boulevard.

Remember to face Fort Road beach and not the Marina South part, as the fireworks will shoot up from Fort Road Beach.

Please be there 1-2 hours earlier. This is to ensure you find a good spot for yourself and your tripod.

Do bring along some newspapers to put on the floor, or a mat if you want. Also bring some drinks and food, to enjoy this wonderful outing. The strong sea breeze from Marina is wonderful for a small picnic while watching the Singapore Fireworks Festival.
